Learn Faster: Songs or Scales?

Learning songs teaches more than learning scales: true or false?

🎸 Some guitarists learn best by playing songs; others swear scales are the real foundation.

I would say triad arpeggios, as these can be helpful for both rhythm and lead playing, as well as providing a foundation for scale-based work later on.

Learning scales. I found the pentatonic scales made jamming possible in any key anywhere on the fretboard. Practicing songs was driving my wife nuts. Well truth be known buying that last guitar made her more nuts.

You were funny. I laughed. I was just trying to be funny too. Maybe someday we'll be really good guitar players so I can leave the humor to professionals. As to guitar playing, I got way more issues than pick angle!
